Is it normal to worry about your future
Nothing is certain and I think to some extent having an 'it is what it is' attitude can help get through the things we can't help. A CBT type of activity really helps to manage how we may feel e. I'd also say if there are things that you can mostly control e. However, also know that there is always another path to get to the same destination. For me that was knowing I could still study medicine with less than perfect exam results if i took another route to get there - doing a foundation year on top or doing a different degree first and then applying for graduate entry medicine!
Lastly, believe in yourself, you have to be your own biggest fan in this journey!! You can't predict the future. Thus, just keep doing what you are doing currently and try new things that you love! The best way to stop worrying about the future in my experience is to just focus on the present. I found worrying about the future always complicated situations and caused unnecessary stress.
I've learned that all that you can do is all that you can do and all you can do is enough Art Williams and i live by it. Feel helpless and want to shake that worries off but it still lingers on you like a fly with an annoying noise. Anonymous August 4th, pm. I personally have suffered a lot when it comes to worrying about the future, whether it's my grades or something else. But I think the best way to tackle it is the popular phrase of living in the present and everything else should fall into place.
You should enjoy life rather than worrying about every step at the end of the day! It starts with being ok with the present. If you are happy with where you are today, and where you'll be tomorrow, you will be ok. Not to say that you shouldn't plan ahead, just try to not be emotional about the future. Anonymous February 15th, am. I would try focusing on small things that are happening currently. Something like planning out a meal for tomorrow, or maybe focus on a new hobby. Exercise, Writing, Reading, Art. Anything that distracts you could help.
But you also need to come to terms with it. You need to realise you're going to be fine. As long as you're happy in the future, you're winning. It is normal for people to worry about their future.
Mainly because it is the unknown and people have a fear of the unknown. Anything could happen by surprise. Break the root of worry by realizing that you cannot control or dictate things to just be. There is so much you miss in life when your head is in the clouds worrying about an uncertain future. Forget the future!
Focus on today! Be in the present moment. Being in the here and now is the only truth. During my tough time trying to deal with anxiety and stress a few years ago, I remember being at the park with the my kids. It was a beautiful day. No heat. Perfect breeze. Great scenery. But I missed it. Talking it through with someone can be. But saying things aloud can help clarify feelings and where you can focus your energy.
